Happy and Blessed New Year to all!! I saw a post from a friend and I really liked the way it was published so I hope she does not mind that I am going to steel it from her! Thanks Kristi!
The Crabtree’s 2009 was full of many happy and blessed memories!
A Year in Review!
January: We had a very relaxing start to the year preparing for the new addition to our family! Abbie was so excited about the new baby coming to join the family!
February: Mary Grace joined our family February 11, 2009 at 6 lbs. 7 ozs.! She and Abbie became fast and close friends! Mary Grace and Abbie had a lot of visitors during her first month of life and she was baptized!
March: We ventured to Virginia for my Grandfather’s funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. What a wonderful way to honor my grandfather’s life! Also we went to Ohio to celebrate the marriage of my uncle John and new Aunt Mary!
April: We hired our wonderful Nanny Margot and Mommy started back to work! It was very hard to leave the girls but they are in wonderful hands… we are so blest! Also Abbie turned TWO!!! I cannot believe it!
May: We settled into a routine with Mommy going to work and having Margot come to the house and the girls seemed to just thrive!
June: We bought a Detroit Zoo annual pass and Abbie loved the zoo. The month of Kevin’s birthday he turned 29 and we had a great birthday weekend!! We then flew to Texas for my Cousin Nicole’s wedding and we had a blast; we girls were great on the plane people past us on the way out and they stated they did not know there were kids on the plane!! Mary Grace learned to roll when we were in Texas as well!
July: Happy Independence Day!!! Kevin and I watched the fireworks on out porch it was romantic!! We also met our neighbors who we have become quite close to… it has been nice to make new friends! Abbie also started dance class and she LOVED it and continues to love it! We went to visit my folks in Ohio and my mom, the girls and I spent a lot of time at the pool while Kevin and my father golfed!
August: This was a month of fun in the sun and Abbie seemed to really start to be protective of Mary Grace it was super sweet! Nana and Granddad Crabtree came to visit and it was so nice to have them here!
September: My parents came for Labor Day and we made a great weekend of it... my mom potty trained Abbie and she did GREAT with it!! Kevin and I also planned a staycation it was great to just be at home with the girls! We had a blast!
October: This was a rough month for the Crabtrees both girls were pretty sick and we spent too much time at the doctors! But Halloween was a blast and we celebrated with Nana and Papa Pearsall and the Socia family… Abbie still carries around a bag and says trick a’ treat! Mary Grace was a sugar plum and Abbie was a bumble bee!
November: We celebrated our first Thanksgiving at our house… my parents were here and we made a wonderful turkey dinner! Mary Grace tried her first turkey and seemed to love it!
December: Merry Christmas!!! We had a blast making new Christmas traditions with the girls… and celebrating Mary Grace’s first Christmas! This was the first Christmas that Abbie really got into the spirit… it was wonderful to see
All and all it was a wonderful 2009… here is to 2010!!
