Ok... I was on a roll with my posting before the family emergency. So where to begin. My grandfather passed away October 31st 2008... my thoughts and prayers continue to be with you grandpa you are truly missed. We made it back from Ohio and it was back to a full week of work... I felt like I was just going through the motions that week (emotionally drained...physically fine).
The following weekend Kevin, Abbie, and I then went to Cincinnati, Oh for a NDT gait course for work. I did not want to go but it ended up being a great course and so worth going to; I learned a ton and it was nice to have my mind on something else.
We have been back in town for two weekends now and I cannot wait for the holiday season to begin!
Abbie has been a trooper throughout the whole ordeal, we are so blessed! Her vocabulary has flourished during the past month... she has started to repeat things that we say! One morning she got up and she found a ball picked it up and said Mama ball... and has been saying ball every since. Her feet are now leaving the ground when she jumps and she has taught herself the chicken dance. We are not quite sure where she learned the dance from except that we have a chicken that sings the song and we have occasionally done the dance with her but it is hysterical. We have tried to take a video but she gets camera shy when we pull it out! Speaking of cameras we had Abbie's 18 month and holiday pictures taken a few weeks ago and I will attach a few of our favorite pictures!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends... we are sorry that we cannot celebrate it with all of you but please know we are so thankful for each and everyone of you. Blessings to you all!
