Pumpkin Patch!

We went to a local pumpkin patch this morning so that we could decorate our front porch!!! I LOVE FALL!!!! Abbie was quite clingy this morning so there are not a lot of great pictures... but I will share the ones that we were able to take. The pumpkin patch is family owned and they have been in business for 15 years. We spoke at length with the son of the owner and he told us that his grandparents bought the house his parents currently live in, in 1944, and this is pretty much where he grew up! Kevin and I have really enjoyed helping out the local farmers who are in our backyard! We have had the best sweet corn this summer and great tomatoes. I never thought of myself as a country girl but I have to admit I really enjoy all this fresh produce!
Next weekend we plan to go to an apple orchard, which they call cider mills up here, on Kevin's day off. We plan to go with our friends Barry, Lauren, and their 2 sons! Apparently Cider Mills have a lot more then just apple orchards... corn mazes, pumpkin patches, hay rides and much more!!! We will share that adventure next weekend! We really are trying to adapt to the Michigan lifestyle and it really is not that bad... we still wear our scarlet and gray in the sea of blue and maize but it only makes for good conversations!!! Go BUCK!!!!! We are OH-IO!!!
