Mary Grace is three months!!!

Mary Grace has turned 3 months… I cannot believe our sweet baby girl is that old! She has been such an easy baby… sleeping through the night, cooing and giggling during the day, and snuggly in the evening before bed time.
From what Margot has told us she has been a very easy baby for her as well… how great. She keeps growing and growing which is so fun to watch!
Mary Grace loves her big sister giving Abbie smiles pretty much every time she comes close! When I get home from work my heart melts when I walk up to see Mary Grace and she gives me the BIGGEST smile and giggle ever… it is like she thought I would never come home; it warms my heart!

Happy Birthday Abbie!!!

I know it has been a long time since I posted last and a lot has happened! First and foremost Abbie turned TWO!!! I cannot believe it; she has grown up too quickly but it has been a true joy!!! She makes us smile everyday!!! We were able to celebrate with my family in Ohio the weekend before her birthday and she had a blast! We taught her to tell everyone how old she was so when asked "Abbie how old are you?" she chirps "I doo". So sweet!!! Loves playing with all her new toys!!
Then we were able to celebrate with the Forcia's Abbie loves to play with her boyfriends Gavyn and Roman!!! We had a great time celebrating Abbie but in the end Abbie just loved that she got a little extra attention!
Abbie has become a wonderful BIG sister... she looks and Mary Grace, points and says sishder. When Mary Grace cries Abbie runs around yelling PACIE PACIE and looking for a pacie to give to her. It is very sweet! At the same time we have had many more tantrums and she is not enjoying time-out like she did a month ago. She seems to understand what that means now.
The best thing that has changed since Abbie has turned 2 is that she is now telling us that she loves us!!! She will lean over and give a kiss then say love you... more like ove u! It made me melt inside... I will do my best to get it on video and post it.

Finally Beautiful Weather!!

This morning we woke to the birds chirping and the sun shining; so we decided that we needed to go on a walk to the park near our home before Kevin had to leave for work. So we packed up the girls... Abbie in the jogging stroller and Mary Grace in the Baby Bjorn and we took off. We walked 2 miles first and then went to the park. We have found that Abbie has no fear... she loves to go down the big kid slides all by her self. When Kevin tried to go with her she would push his hands away and say no boov (meaning no move). I hope everyone is enjoying spring as much as we are!!

Mary Grace is 2 months old and we celebrate Easter!

It has been a busy 2 weeks. I cannot believe Mary Grace is 2 months old and is just a little angel. She still enjoys tummy time and playing with her sister. Abbie loves to jump on our bed; we were all sitting on bed one Sunday morning before church and Abbie started jumping and Mary Grace started giggling (it was adorable)... Mary Grace's first intentional smile was at Abbie and now her first giggle was directed toward Abbie. Sister love blooming before my eyes... I really missed out!
Mary Grace had her two month check up and Abbie had her 2 year check up and we walked away 5 shots later and 2 clean bills of health!!! YAY!! Abbie now weighs 22 lbs and we had her eyes checked with a new device at the pediatrician and it found that she can see!! Mary Grace now weighs 10lbs 3oz (what a chunker... and we love it) and she did well with her shots. Can you all believe that my little baby Abbie is almost 2... I cannot but am very excited about it! She has brought so much joy to our life I cannot imagine life without her… she makes me smile everyday!
Easter Sunday was joyous here in Michigan we went to 10am mass as a family which was a beautiful service... we came home and Abbie took a great nap!! We were invited to spend Easter with our friends the Socias, I work with Cari and Abbie and Eilee play really well together, so after Abbie's nap we headed over to their house. Cari and Brian have three girls, Eilee is 20 months old and Avery and Tatum are almost 7 months old. All of the girls were great and Abbie and Eilee played hard, they had an Easter Egg hunt with empty eggs and they LOVED it... once they would fill their baskets they would through the eggs around the yard and pick them up again; too cute!
I start back to work next Wednesday... I cannot believe the time has come! I have very mixed feelings about going back to work... I am so sad to leave the girls I have loved spending all of this time with them but I am excited about seeing some of my old patients. Knowing that our girls will be in the comfort of their own home and able to sleep until their normal time makes me very happy... Margot starts next Monday so that she can learn the girls schedules!!! Ok that is all for now... I hope and pray that you Easter season has been a joyous one!!!
I want to send congratulations to Nicole on your confirmation... welcome to the church!

Changes

So we have had an interesting week at the Crabtree's. I have been trying to get the girls on some sort of schedule since we came back from our trip... which meant that Abbie was back at daycare (which she loves). However we have unfortunately had a falling out with our provider so Abbie has been home with Mary Grace and I for the past week and a half... and Kevin and I have been frantically searching for a nanny to come to the house and watch the girls. With all of the stress Kevin and I both became sick with a cold which for me turned into a fully blown sinus infection... killer since I really cannot take much for it! The girls schedules also when out the window because I was having difficulty functioning!
But we have a very happy ending... we found a nanny who will start April 20th 2 days before I return to work so that she can learn the schedule with me. Margot has a 2 year old who Abbie really got a long with... so I think they will be great playmates and fast friends! We are very excited about this change in our family... I think that Abbie and Mary Grace we remain healthier seeing as they will be at home and exposed to less germs!!! YAY!!!
